Museum of Modern Art

Perhaps the most prominent museum in New York City, the Museum of Modern art, otherwise known as “Moma,” houses more than 100,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures and other works by the greatest artists of the 20th century, including everything from Mexican art to European pieces to African artifacts, and renowned works from van Gogh, Picasso and Monet.

 

South Street Seaport

Metropolitan Opera Company

Opened in 1883, the Metropolitan Opera continues as one of the world's leading opera companies, staging more than 200 hundred performances in just a 32-week season.

A total of more than 800,000 people attend the performances in the opera house. The Opera House also features individual computerized screens mounted on each seat that provide translations of the performance.
